Lost at Sea. The Strange Route of the Lena Shoal junk.

In 1997 the remains of a Chinese trading vessel were found off the coast of the Philippine island of Palawan. Although already damaged by looters, a salvage operation was launched by the National Museum of the Phillipines and the Far Eastern Foundation for Nautical Archaeology. This book forms a report on the methodology, execution and results of the project and looks in detail at the remains of the 15th century Chinese trading ship and her cargo. Resembling a submerged china shop, the sea bed was littered with blue and white high quality ceramics and metal artefacts.
